This is just a classic example of an out of date Chief Commissioner who is over due for retirement. Quite obviously Chief Commissioner Moroney demonstates a complete lack of recent operational experience.

Why doesn't he write an 'open letter' to all criminals (both in NSW and Interstate) to hand themselves in at their local Station for processing and confess to all crimes as a matter of 'common decency'.

HELLO! Chief Commissioner. Stop living in 'la la land' and realise one thing - the only thing that will stop illegal and criminal behavior is enforcement of the law. Get out there and enforce the bloody law and let the Courts decide. The Newspapers are obviously just as stupid as the police Commissioner for reproducing such rubbish.
